The City of Sinton Police Department is currently accepting applications for Texas licensed/certified peace officers. The police department currently has 1 vacancy which will remain open until filled. Applicants may be required to take and pass a written exam. All applicants will be required to undergo a physical exam, psychological test, drug test, and thorough background investigation. Drug and psychological testing will be deferred until a conditional offer is made.

The City of Sinton provides good pay and a nice benefits package including sick leave, vacation leave, family death leave, personal leave, longevity pay, holiday pay, life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, and retirement. Sinton PD also pays officers incentive pay for the advancement of their peace officer license (ie. intermediate, advanced, and master licenses).
