Surcharge Notice
A conviction of an offense under a traffic law of this State or
political subdivision of this State may result in the assessment
on your driver's license of a surcharge under the Driver Responsibility
Program. (Chapter 708 Texas Transportation Code)

If you have received a citation in Sinton or Odem and wish to take care of it by mail, you can print out the courtesy letter document. The courtesy letter document contains what you see above but expands on how you choose to resolve a citation. You can download the courtesy letter document via the documents online page. Once downloaded, you can tab through the form on Microsoft Word and fill in the required blanks. Then just follow the rest of the instructions and mail the form in.
Defensive Driving
You may be eligible to take a Driving Safety Course to dismiss a moving
violation. However, If you do not appear on or before your appearance date,
you loose your Driving Safety Course privilege. This option requires an
administrative fee for the City of Sinton and Odem; the administrative may vary,
and for this reason, you must contact the court clerk for a schedule of fees for
this option. The driving safety course is not available to a holders of Commercial
Drivers' Licenses.If you are interested in the Driving Safety Course option in order to resolve your traffic violation and you currently qualify, you must contact the court clerk. Contact can be made by email or by phone. You will then be able to download the required forms here online. |
IDS-OCPS Authorized Driving Safety Schools
The following schools are authorized to conduct the I Drive Safely Occupant and Child Passenger Safety
specialized driving safety program that meets the provisions of §545.412 and §545.413 of the Texas
